Competitive Team Requirements
TEAM GREEN MISSION:
Our team’s mission is to strive to be the best we can be! Winning is great, but it’s not the only goal. The goal is to constantly improve as dancers, as individuals, and as a team. Above all, we must always give it our best efforts. The effort matters as much, if not more than, the results.
AUDITIONS
Anyone can audition for TEAM Green. Ages range from 4 to 18 years of age. No team experience required. You do not have to be a student at Premiere Dance studio to audition. If you cannot attend the audition, please speak with the studio director. There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting on September 21 to review the placements of your child, competition dates, costs and the handbook. You may choose which numbers your child performs unless there is a mandatory routine required.
DURATION
Team Green is a year long commitment-September 14, 2024 through August 3, 2025. Fall and summer classes are required to be on team, this includes registration fees and class tuition. This includes outgoing dancers.
TEAM MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
All current team members are required to re-audition every year.
WITHDRAWAL
There are in special occasions with withdrawal would be allowed however these are to be approved by the owner and will have to be due to injury or a family circumstance that wouldn’t allow the child to continue.
INSTRUCITON TIME OBLIGATIONS:
All team members are required to meet the following minimum classes obligations:
Age 4-5

A minimum of 1 Combo class per week (must participate in recital for this class)

Team rehearsal weekly plus extended rehearsals around competition dates

Must participate in all team member Large group/line/production
Age 6-8

Must attend jazz, tap, and ballet (must participate in recital for these classes)

Team rehearsal weekly plus extended rehearsals around competition dates

Must participate in all team member Large group/line/production
Age 9-10

Must attend jazz, tap, and ballet plus 1 elective (must participate in recital for these classes)

Team rehearsal weekly plus extended rehearsals around competition dates

Must attend leaps and turns

Must attend improv class

Must participate in all team member Large group/line/production
Ages 11 & up

Must attend jazz, tap, and 2 ballet plus 2 electives (must participate in recital for these classes)

Team rehearsal weekly plus extended rehearsals around competition dates

Must take class associated with a competition number (if you are doing a contemporary team number you must take the contemporary class)

Must attend leaps and turns

Must attend improv class

Must participate in all team member Large group/line/production
COMPETITION TIME & COST OBLIGATIONS
Please see attachment for team competition dates and costs. Take note of the mandatory competition dates. You also must be available the week prior to each competition for scheduled and unscheduled practices. Please note that some competitions dates could change. If this happens we will let you know as soon as possible.
ALL team members will be put on an 8 month payment schedule (all competition fees divided by 8 payments). These payments will be posted at the beginning of each month and will need to be paid by the end of each month. However, all competition fees are due by May 10th. You may pay in
advance.
OTHER COST OBLIGATIONS

$60 per month team fee-This covers the cost of instruction time for regular team practices and extra classes (In September you will be charged $30. The $60 charge will billed October thru July with no exceptions).

One Convention-Cost :Around $300

Team Uniform (cost is roughly $160-175 per dancer)

Prop fee (cost is roughly $50-$100 per dancer)

Costumes-Costumes will be billed. There will be a $100 costume deposit due on October 1. The remainder will be due December 1. There could be up to a 30% additional fee for each costume. This fee covers any accessories, shipping and processing, as well as the time for our staff to order, receive, organize and pass out the items. Please know we realize costumes fees are expensive especially for older dancers who are in lots of recital and team numbers. Premiere will be extra cautious of this when selecting costumes.

They must attend 1 summer intensive. Dates and cost will be posted 90 days out.
